I do enjoy working on the theme of the blog. I can spend hours looking for code to make this blog look the way I want it to. This is important, but it is also a distraction. I should be spending those hours creating posts. As I always like to say, "Oh, well."

Anyway, I've done a lot of work on this blog the past two weeks. I added this mini-blog, which is actually just the forum Simple:Press. It's very nice for what I need. Actually, it's more than I need, but that's okay because it gives me room to grown, should that be necessary.

Also, I finally managed to find some code to add extra fields to the comment area. I don't yet have hardly any comments, but if I ever get any I would enjoy knowing where the commenter is from, so I added a field for city, state, and one for country.

And I added some shading for the comment threads to make them easier to follow. I also do some other stuff to make comments more fun.

I created a new slider for my mini-blog, what you are reading now. Sliders are easy to create if you have the right plugin, but they do have to be done and that takes time.

Finally, I gave myself new avatar. Charles Darwin is by far my favorite historical person, so I used a painting of him as a young man. Believe there is nothing special about my actually likeness.
